Summer Television & Film Writing Camp for Teens with Carrie Schrader

Rising 9th–11th graders 

Do you want to learn how to write a fabulous tv show, short film, web series or movie? This all-day summer camp will teach you how to write entertaining stories for the screen. You’ll learn how to construct interesting plot points, develop dynamic characters, and write engaging dialogue. We will develop your unique, visual voice through writing exercises, script study, and in-class workshops. If you are ready to dig in and delve deep, then immerse yourself in this very fun, always inspiring summer writing camp for television and film! 

Class size is limited to 12.

Camp is held on the campus of Agnes Scott College in Decatur.

Campers are expected to provide their own lunch and two snacks. A refillable water bottle is also recommended.

Biography: Carrie Schrader is an award-winning writer, director, and story producer who has most recently worked for Netflix and AMC Networks; her feature length film The Founders is available on iTunes; and she is an experienced professor at UNG, Emory, and most recently SCADfilm. She has several projects in various stages of development, and offers private screenwriting coaching through WriteThatDamnScript.com. She also has an MFA in film from Columbia University, New York.
